Interviews & Informed Consent

As a transcription service we get exposure to a wide range of interviews from Television to research.

However, a recent review in the UK of data sharing identified that informed consent to share information was not widely established, other reviews of interview consent practices  conducted in the US have established that when consent is gained – the process of gaining consent has ballooned into a complicated and lengthy process.

This has led a call for more consent to be established using more a simplified process. Using the guidelines being suggested by the US Federal Drug Authority  Transcript Divas Transcription Services have put together a number of key questions that you should be asking any time you do an interview.
